Percussion ensembles
Students have the opportunity to perform in various percussion ensembles throughout the year while exploring both contemporary and traditional repertoire. In 2018 and 2022, the LSE Percussion Ensemble was selected to perform a Showcase Concert for the annual Nebraska Music Education Association conference, one of the highest honors in the state for schoolastic music groups.
Concert percussion
LSE has three concert ensembles that meet in 2nd semester. They are:
Symphonic Band (non-auditioned 10-12)
Wind Ensemble (auditioned 9-12)
Concert Band (non-auditioned 9th grade)
Students perform in a traditional concert band setting during these band classes. Students also develop fundamental ensemble playing skills and rehearse percussion ensemble music during this time.
